Walking in the Bogard Gardens
Explore the 40 hectares of woods, meadows, and gardens at Château de Bogard. Take a stroll around the pond, where you might spot a gray heron coming to quench its thirst. Lose yourself in the “Garden of Uncertainties,” but find meaning again in the “Garden of Knowledge.” The site is unique for its inspiration, which is both philosophical and Masonic, and for its many symbols—invisible to the uninitiated but which structure the landscape architecture, preserved intact since its design in the 18th century.

Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September 2026
This year, the European Heritage Days provide an opportunity to organize a special exhibition dedicated to Zoé Laigneau (1885–1965), a painter and copyist who lived in Saint-Brieuc. The exhibition, held at the Orangerie of Bogard Castle, features some thirty of her paintings and also provides insights into the artist’s life, her work, and the cultural context of Brittany in the early 20th century.
